Storm Darragh forced the cancellation of the Merseyside derby.
Due to heavy weather brought on by Storm Darragh. The Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool at Goodison Park has been postponed for safety reasons.
Amidst disruptive circumstances throughout the United Kingdom. Merseyside was under an amber weather warning for strong winds on Saturday morning.

According to an Everton statement, “Whilst we acknowledge that this will be extremely upsetting for supporters, the safety of fans. Staff, and players is of primary importance.”
The decision was made “because to the risk to safety in the local region,” according to Liverpool.
Before Everton moves into a new stadium in 2025. The game was scheduled to start at 12:30 GMT and be the final league derby between the two teams at Goodison.
