In his first sit-down interview since leaving Manchester United, Mason Greenwood forbids one subject.

One subject was apparently off-limits for the former Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood, who spoke about his time at Marseille in a rare sit-down interview with a French broadcaster.

During a rare sit-down interview, Mason Greenwood allegedly declined to comment on his 2022 arrest.

After being accused of attempted rape, assault resulting in serious physical harm, and controlling and coercive behavior, Greenwood’s club at the time, Manchester United, suspended him.

The Crown Prosecution Service eventually withdrew the allegations against the 23-year-old in 2023 after he denied them. After a season-long loan with Getafe of Spain, he signed with Marseille, since leaving Manchester United permanently last summer.

When Greenwood recently sat down for a rare interview with Telefoot, the French broadcaster disclosed that he requested to speak exclusively about business-related topics and not be questioned about the situation.

Greenwood has stated that he wants to stay in France and has scored 13 goals in 20 games for Marseille. “Stay here for many years?” he said to Telefoot. Naturally.

“I would like to participate in the Champions League and win trophies here.

Yes, being here is a major ambition. When I went to the Velodrome for my first match, I had chills. It is extraordinary.

“I have never seen them sing for ninety minutes straight before.” A possible reunion with his former United teammate Paul Pogba, who has been connected to a move to Marseille, was another topic Greenwood discussed.

When he is allowed to return to action in March following a suspension for using a prohibited drug, Pogba, a free agent, is seeking a new beginning. He departed Juventus in November after his contract was canceled.

Greenwood also asserts that Pogba, 31, is still a “great player” and expresses his desire to play with him once more. Is a wonderful man, professional, and has mentored me,” Greenwood added. He is a very good player. He would be a great addition to any European squad. It would be wonderful if he could come here.
