Republicans are gaining ground on the House. These races are still to be seen.

Donald Trump might more easily implement his program if the Republican Party were to get majority control of the US House of Representatives, which they are now four seats short of.

According to Reuters predictions, the party has 214 MPs on Monday morning, just short of the 218 members required to seize control of the lower house of Congress, Republicans are gaining ground.

Since Republicans have already taken control of the White House and the Senate, the upper house, the incoming president-elect may hold substantial influence once he takes office on January 20, 2025.

Republicans who control the House will be able to start impeachment procedures against officials and propose spending legislation.

Trump made it easier for a united Republican Party to enact border control policies and tax cuts.

These are a few races that have not yet been announced.

California

The races to keep an eye on are:

California’s 27th: Republican Congressman Mike Garcia is facing up against Democrat George Whitesides. Garcia has maintained a slim advantage.
California’s 41st: Republican Congressman Ken Calvert. Who has been leading by a slim margin, is fighting against Democrat Will Rollins.
California’s 22nd: Republican Congressman David Valadao, who has been leading, is up against Democrat Rudy Salas.
California’s 13th: Democrat Adam Gray is facing incumbent Republican Congressman John Duarte, who has been in the lead

Arizona

In this swing state, two races are being keenly followed.

In the 6th district of Arizona, which is in the southeast of the state.

Republican Juan Ciscomani and his Democratic opponent Kirsten Engel seem to be tied.

David Schweikert is ahead of Democratic opponent Amish Shah by a slim margin in Arizona’s first district.

Maine

This includes most of the state north of Portland and Augusta.

As of right now, Golden is ahead of Austin Theriault, his Republican opponent. Nearly every vote has been counted.

Ohio

Democrats are vying for one seat.

Marcy Kaptur, a Democratic congresswoman who has been in office since 1983, is leading her Republican opponent Derek Merrin by a slim margin.
