At Old Trafford, Tottenham put up a fantastic performance to defeat 10-man Manchester United and put more pressure on manager Erik ten Hag.

The only surprise is how Manchester United VS Spurs only had Brennan Johnson’s third-minute goal to show for their utter control as they tore apart Manchester United in the first half.

Even without the injured Son Heung-min, and laid the groundwork for victory.

Micky van de Ven’s brilliant run from his own half set up Johnson’s easy finish.

Spurs continued to produce chances but failed to extend their lead.

With Timo Werner being the main offender when he let United keeper Andre Onana save a clean through.

The fact that captain Bruno Fernandes was sent off for a lunge at James Maddison three minutes before halftime did not assist United’s cause.

But Ten Hag’s team was an overmatched, unruly mess even before they were down to fewer players.

Two minutes after the half, Dejan Kulusevski masterfully finished over Onana to give Spurs their first lead extension. Johnson had set up the excellent break Manchester United VS Spurs.

The diligent Twelve minutes from time, Dominic Solanke scored the goal his career merited and gave the scoreline.

A more realistic aspect by heading in Pape Matar Sarr’s headed flick at a corner.

Which caused a mass departure of United fans from Old Trafford.

Postecoglou enjoys his display of strength.

After defeating Manchester United for the fourth time in a row in all competitions.

Just two weeks prior, when Spurs needed a late comeback to defeat Coventry City in the Carabao Cup.

Serious questions were being raised regarding Postecoglou.

The hard-to-please Postecoglou was frequently reduced to throwing his hands in the air in frustration or holding his head in his hands in anguish as Spurs carved United open time and time again.

Only to somehow fail to build on Johnson’s early goal. Spurs were full of quality, running, and power from the first whistle.

It was obvious that United was concerned that Spurs’ inability to close the deal had left the door open. Postecoglou does not need to be concerned.

Their cause was helped by Fernandes’ red card, but they already had United where they wanted them long before that. Kulusevski’s second goal sealed the deal, and Solanke’s third goal added the finishing touch.

Johnson’s father David, who began his career at Manchester United.

Another forceful reply from a player hurt by harsh remarks Spurs supporters had just leveled.

He played a major role in setting up Kulusevski’s second goal and scoring for the fourth straight game as Spurs threatened to blow up the place.

Even though United had some rare occasions in the second half, Spurs won this game.

And their enthusiastic supporters gave them a standing ovation when the final whistle blew.

Ten Hag in disarray again

Ten Hag is now at the point in his time at Manchester United where a crisis is only a bad loss away. For the Dutchman, that alone made it a desperate day.

But Spurs were giving United a frightening game long before their captain sprang at Maddison after tripping on the wet Old Trafford field.

It was humiliating how much worse United was than Spurs.

Out of the two excellent saves made by Werner when the striker was clear to score and another by Solanke.

Who appeared ready to add a fourth goal to add insult to injury.

Only goalkeeper Onana received any recognition.

What was so concerning about United’s descent into the bottom half of the Premier League table was more than just their pathetic performance.

Just seconds after entering the game following Fernandes’ red card, Mason Mount epitomized United’s lack of composure by carelessly colliding with Rodrigo Bentancur’s back and receiving a needless yellow card. Lisandro Martinez shared equal responsibility for Maddison’s foul.

Naturally, Ten Hag will be the subject of investigation. After this pounding, he is without a place to hide.

There are not many indications that United is getting better or is even better than it was last season.

Ten Hag is going through a tough time right now, and they will try the endurance of the Old Trafford management, who in the summer, after a post-season evaluation, eventually decided to stick with him.
