Hadjar a Frenchman receives the last 2025 Formula One spot.

The 2025 Formula 1 season will see Frenchman Isack Hadjar join Japanese driver Yuki Tsunoda on Red Bull’s second squad.

The last spot on the 20-car Formula One grid is filled by the announcement.

Hadjar is a replacement for Liam Lawson. Who was moved to Red Bull after they fired Sergio Perez. At the squad that will now be called as Racing Bulls.

The 20-year-old Hadjar finished second in Formula 2 last season behind Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto. Who will compete in Formula 1 next year for Audi-owned Sauber.

Laurent Mekies, team principal for Racing Bulls, stated: “Isack’s path to Formula One has been nothing short of extraordinary. With a string of outstanding performances in the junior single-seater levels, he has demonstrated tremendous growth.

“He possesses the talent and motivation required to compete at the greatest level. And we are confident that he will swiftly adjust and have a big influence. I think Yuki and Isack will work well together.

Hadjar stated: “I have been working toward this moment my entire life; it is the dream. Going from karting through the ranks in single-seaters to now being in Formula One.”

“Driving a lot quicker car and competing against the world’s top drivers. Makes me feel like I am entering a completely different dimension. Although there will be a significant learning curve. I am prepared to put in a lot of effort and give the squad my best effort.”

A change in how the team is referred to for the upcoming season is also essentially confirmed by the news.

Although Red Bull’s second squad competed as RB in 2024.

They were referenced to as Racing Bulls in both this week’s Lawson and Hadjar releases.

The corporation decided that the complete team name. Which included the title sponsor, a credit card company. Was too wordy, so they adopted the letters RB, which stands for Racing Bulls.

However, this year, the team’s email addresses all used the moniker Racing Bulls. And Red Bull has now decided to stick with the old name.

“The sole question during the year was: ‘What does RB mean, what does RB represent?'” stated Peter Bayer. The CEO of Racing Bulls, last month. We are officially stating now that RB stands for Racing Bulls.

The official FIA F1 2025 entry list, which was released last week, included the new name.
