Guardiola has stated that he will not be managing another club team.
Before he “maybe” leads a national team, Pep Guardiola has stated that Manchester City will be his last club football managerial position.
Since taking over City in 2016, the former manager of Barcelona and Bayern Munich has won 15 major championships.
The 53-year-old Spaniard this month agreed to a two-year contract extension with City through 2027 after being approached in the summer about the prospect of managing England.
Guardiola did not specify when he plans to leave City in an interview with celebrity chef Dani Garcia on YouTube. But he did state that he would not play club football again, either in the Premier League or elsewhere.
He declared, “I am not going to manage another squad,”
“I am not talking about the long term, but I will not quit Manchester City. Move abroad, and carry on in the same manner as I do now.
The idea of beginning somewhere else, the entire training procedure, etc. No, no, no. A national team, perhaps, but that is something else.
“If he accepts a club position, I will be unable to leave it and go play golf. I believe it would be beneficial for me to stop.
Since Guardiola’s contract extension, City has only triumphed once. And that victory came nine games after their victory over Southampton on October 26.
Last Wednesday, they defeated Nottingham Forest at home, but they drew 2-2 at Crystal Palace the following weekend.
The Blues’ next Champions League matchup comes against Juventus on Wednesday at 20:00 GMT. On Sunday, they play Manchester United in the Premier League (16:30).
“After the outcomes of the last seven or eight games, we are not in a position right now to talk about winning games in plural,” Guardiola stated at his pregame press conference.
“We must win the game and not yet consider the outcome of the next one.”
