While Getafe holds Barcelona, Balde reports racist taunts.
Barcelona lost points for the fourth consecutive La Liga game after being held to a draw against Getafe. Alejandro Balde, a full-back, then claimed that fans were making racial jokes.
The defender said that a public announcement was made to the stadium’s supporters after informing the referee during the game.
“I think I should address the racial remarks I encountered from some supporters today,” he told Movistar.
“I think it is something that should not keep happening.”
According to While Getafe holds Barcelona manager Hansi Flick, “there is no room for this in football or in life, this is unbelievable, and it is utterly inappropriate in the moment [we live in],” he told reporters.
“They have to stay at home. They are not allowed to go to the game and must stay at home.
“The best course of action, in my opinion, is to fight them, and people who are close to them can also take action. I believe that anyone can accomplish it.
Flick’s side had won four consecutive Copa del Rey and Spanish Super Cup games prior to this encounter.
They did, however, return to the league form that had given them a point in their previous three 2024 games.
