6 Asian Countries Predicted to Qualify for the 2026 World Cup in the Third Qualification Round, Number 1 Once Slaughtered Germany!

HERE are six Asian countries predicted to qualify for the 2026 World Cup in the third qualifying round. Most of them are regulars in the final round of the grand tournament.

The Asian continent received an additional slot from 4 to 8.5 teams for the 2026 World Cup. The six teams are the champions and runners-up of the three groups in the third round.

So, who are these countries? Check out the following review.

6 Asian Countries Predicted to Qualify for the 2026 World Cup in the Third Qualification Round

  1. Uzbekistan

This country is currently ambitious to qualify for the World Cup finals for the first time. The situation of the Uzbekistan National Team in Group A of Round 3 of the 2026 World Cup Qualification in the Asian Zone is quite favorable.

The White Wolves are currently in second place with 10 points. They are six points ahead of the UAE National Team in third place. In fact, that number is the same as the leader of Group A!

6 Asian Countries

  1. Iraq

Like Uzbekistan, this war-torn country also has ambitions to qualify. The Lions of Mesopotamia have a pretty big chance of advancing from Group B.

The Iraqi national team only needs to compete with the Jordanian national team which is currently in second place. They have both collected seven points from the four matches that have been played.

  1. Iran

One of the top teams in Asia has yet to encounter any obstacles. Team Melli is quite dominant in Group A along with the Uzbekistan national team.

The Iranian national team even has the same points as its competitor, namely 10. They are both six points away from the UAE national team and the Qatar national team which are in third and fourth place.

European soccer roundup: In a contentious match against title challenger Arsenal, Erling Haaland scores Manchester City’s 100th goal.

  1. Australia

Stumbling at the start, who would have thought that The Socceroos now have the chance to qualify as runners-up. However, the Australian national team must go through tough competition in Group C which is also occupied by the Indonesian national team.

No wonder, they have only collected five points from four matches. That number is the same as the Saudi Arabian National Team and the Bahrain National Team which are right below them.

  1. South Korea

The country of origin of Shin Tae-yong seems to have no competitors in Group B. The South Korean National Team has collected 10 points even though it has to face countries from the Arabian Peninsula.

Even so, the potential to be eliminated is quite open. Because, they are only three points ahead of Iraq and the Jordanian National Team in 2-3!

  1. Japan

The owner of the highest FIFA ranking in Asia seems to be going smoothly. Why not, the Japanese National Team has collected 10 points from four matches that have taken place.

The quality of the Blue Samurai is indeed said to be no longer Asian. In fact, Japan once destroyed the German National Team with a landslide score of 4-2 in a friendly match last year.

It is worth waiting to see whether Japan will smoothly advance to the final round or not. Moreover, it has a fairly safe distance from the position below it, namely five points.
